Men's Soccer: WVU Set For Two in Boston

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team (4-4-1) faces two pivotal matches this weekend as they travel to Boston, Mass., for matches against Northeastern and No. 25 Boston College.
On Friday, Oct. 3, the Mountaineers face the Northeastern Huskies (3-4-2) at Parsons Field at 6 p.m. The Huskies enter the match coming off of a tie against American East rival Maryland-Baltimore County, 2-2. Northeastern's last win came on Sept. 18, when they defeated Quinnipiac, 3-0.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, coach Mike Seabolt's squad will square off against BIG EAST rival Boston College. The Eagles are coming off of a 2-1 win over Syracuse at home. Before that Boston College lost to Connecticut, 1-0. WVU tied the UConn in their last contest 2-2.
The Mountaineers will be looking to find a win after going 0-2-1 in their last three matches. WVU's success will once again rely on the success of their defense, which is ranked 27th in the nation for shutout percentage (.44).
Leading the defense will be freshman goalkeeper Nick Noble. The Damascus, Md., native ranks 15th in the nation in goals against average (.584).
