Michael Stokes joined the West Virginia University baseball program in January 2021 after previously serving as a student manager and interim equipment manager with the Mountaineers.
As assistant director of baseball equipment operations, Stokes is responsible for ordering, maintaining and distributing WVU baseball equipment. He also assists with practice and game day setup and oversees a crew of student managers.
A native of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Stokes earned an associate degree in financial management from Westmoreland County C.C. in 2017. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2020, earning his bachelor’s degree in sport management.
Prior to joining the Mountaineers, Stokes spent two seasons as an assistant clubhouse manager for the West Virginia Black Bears (2018-19). He also served as the videographer for Fairmont State men’s and women’s basketball from 2018-19.
