Matthew Heiligenberg joined West Virginia University Athletics as the director of ticket operations with the Mountaineer Ticket Office in August 2026.
Before joining the Mountaineers, Heiligenberg worked with the University of Akron as the general manager of ticket sales and operations. With the Zips, he oversaw all aspects of ticket sales and operations for season tickets, single-game plans, group sales and more.
In the years prior to his time in northeast Ohio, Heilgenberg worked with the El Paso Chihuahas as a senior account executive.
He earned a B.S. in sports management from Akron in 2016.
