Ella Byrd joined West Virginia University Athletics as a ticket assistant in May 2026. She primarily works with the volleyball and wrestling programs for ticket operations.
Before joining the staff as a full-time employee, Byrd worked as an intern for the facilities and operations department at WVU for two years. As an intern, Byrd helped set up for home sporting events, engaged with team officials and provided fan support throughout sporting events at WVU.
With the facilities and operations staff, Byrd provided crucial support during the 2025 Sun Belt Men's Soccer Tournament and multiple games in the 2025 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
Byrd earned a B.S. in sport management and is currently pursuing an M.S. in executive sport management from WVU.
