David Marshall joined West Virginia University Athletics as an academic counselor in October 2025.
Marshall served as a learning specialist at Towson University, working primarily with the football, basketball and swimming and diving programs. In this role, Marshall monitored student-athlete eligibility, developed education plans and scheduled classes with student-athletes.Â
Before his time at Towson, Marshall was the student-athlete success coordinator at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He also worked within the Culpeper County Public Schools system as a SPED teacher at Eastern View High School.Â
Marshall earned a B.S. in early childhood education from Saint Vincent College and earned an M.S. in sport management from Pennsylvania Western University in California, Pa.Â
