David Isner joined the West Virginia University’s athletics maintenance staff in May 2022 and assists in the daily operations of the Mountaineers’ 18 intercollegiate sports. Prior to that, he worked in the maintenance and carpentry field for more than 20 years. In the summer of 2025, he was promoted to trades specialist lead.
Isner and his wife, Melissa, who recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, have two daughters, Sarah and Hannah, and one grandson, Jace. They live in Taylor County.
