Brodie McUmar joined West Virginia University Athletics as the Assistant Development Director of the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) in May 2026.
McUmar joins the MAC after previously working with the athletics marketing department as a graduate assistant since 2024. While working as a marketing GA, he served as the primary contact for the men's soccer and wrestling programs. During the 2025 season, McUmar was also one of the contacts for the women's soccer team.
With these programs, McUmar coordinated in-game audio and visual elements, created scripts for public address announcers, and fulfilled sponsorship obligations. He also developed plans using set marketing budgets for the men's soccer and wrestling seasons.
McUmar served as the primary marketing contact during the 2024 and 2025 Sun Belt Men's Soccer Tournament, the 2024 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament, and the 2025 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
He also worked every WVU football home game, helping to coordinate vendors and any on-field activities happening before, during and after games.
The Weirton, West Virginia native, is a two-time graduate of West Virginia University, completing a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2024 and a master's degree in sport management in 2025.
