In his lone season with the Statesmen, Wilson helped guide a defensive front that contributed 24 sacks and played a key role in a defense that held opponents to fewer than 20 points per game.
Prior to Delta State, Wilson served as a defensive analyst at Miami, where he worked with a defensive line unit that totaled 51.5 tackles for loss and 27.5 sacks.
Wilson also spent one season at Shorter as defensive line coach and defensive recruiting coordinator. Under his guidance, the Hawks nearly tripled their sack production from the previous season. The defensive line accounted for 32 tackles for loss and 21 of the team's 23 sacks.
Wilson earned his first full-time position coaching role at Quincy, where he coached the defensive line and mentored two All-Conference defensive linemen.
In addition, Wilson served as a defensive line graduate assistant at his alma mater, Middle Tennessee State, and Shorter.
Wilson began his coaching career at North Carolina A&T in 2019, working with the defensive line and strength and conditioning staff. He helped the Aggies capture the HBCU National Championship that season. His first collegiate coaching experience came in 2018 as a strength and conditioning intern at Alabama, where he was part of a staff that helped the Crimson Tide win the SEC Championship and the Orange Bowl.
Wilson played defensive line at Middle Tennessee State, appearing in multiple bowl games during his career. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from MTSU in 2017. He is married to Lenai Wilson, and they have two children, Yonnis and Kenzo.
