Amy Prunty joined the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2008 after working the previous two years in WVU’s Department of World Languages, Literatures and Linguistics.
In her role, she serves as the office manager for athletic communications, marketing, video and digital media, keeping the four units operating smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Prunty also serves on the department’s social committee, helping to plan key department functions throughout the year.
She is especially proud to be the public address announcer at Dick Dlesk Stadium for WVU men’s and women’s soccer, while also lending her vocals to the PA mic at WVU gymnastics meets and occasional volleyball matches.
Before joining WVU, the retired actor managed the venerable Warner Theater in Morgantown for three years. She and her husband, Steve, reside in Morgantown and have a daughter, Claire.
