Conor McNamara joined the WVU Athletic Department in December 2015 as an assistant equipment manager and was promoted to equipment manager in June 2019. He is now the director of Olympic sports equipment operations.

A native of Venetia, Pennsylvania, McNamara handles the responsibilities for all Mountaineer Olympic sports teams. McNamara oversees the day-to-day operations of the equipment room at the WVU Coliseum, while working directly with Nike and handling daily department orders.
Additionally, McNamara provides support to the equipment staff for the WVU football team, assisting the daily operations and working as the headset technician for all coaching staff communication on game days. He also travels with football, men's soccer and other teams as needed.

McNamara came to WVU after working with team sales at Century Sports, Inc., in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, from 2013-15. While there, he created and designed uniforms and other spirit wear for more than 75 school districts across Western Pennsylvania. He also served as a liaison with top sporting vendors, such as Nike, Under Armour and Schutt Sporting Goods.

McNamara previously served as the head equipment manager for the WVU baseball team from 2012-13. He also interned with the WVU athletic facilities and operations office from 2010-13.

McNamara earned his bachelor of science in sports management from WVU in 2013.
McNamara, his wife, Allison, and their son, Jack, reside in Morgantown.
