Troy Birdsall is entering his second season as a graduate assistant for the West Virginia University swimming and diving teams.
A native of Honeoye Falls, New York, Birdsall’s responsibilities include meet management, practice planning, student-athlete time management and day-to-day assistance under diving coach Michael Grapner.
Birdsall was a three-time NCAA Zones finalist diver at the University of Buffalo from 2014-17, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies.
He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in coaching and sport education at WVU’s College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Â
