Sina King is responsible for the daily dietary needs of West Virginia University’s Olympic sports student-athletes as the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics’ director of sports nutrition. She began her current role in July 2018 after spending one year here as a dietetic intern and then as interim student sports dietitian.
As WVU’s Olympic sports dietitian, she is responsible for managing the student-athletes’ fueling station, assessing body compositions and conducting personal dietary counseling as well as working with the coaches, athletic trainers and strength and conditioning staff on a daily basis.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Akron in 2014 following four years as a member of the Zips’ women’s basketball team.
King earned her master’s degree from Akron in 2015 in exercise physiology and then completed a second master’s degree in animal and nutritional sciences from WVU in 2017.
While finishing her first master’s degree at Akron, she worked at Akron’s Sports Performance Center before receiving her clinical experience at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
The Waterford, Ohio, resident resides in Morgantown.
