Community Outreach
The WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to the engagement of student athletes in service to communities. In that spirit, we have collaborated together with the WVU Center for Service and Learning to create a tool to request service from our Mountaineer Athletic Teams.
Be aware that there are indeed a high volume of requests for WVU athletes to support worthwhile charitable causes and events each year. Not all requests can be fulfilled but completing the tool will help the Student-Athlete Development team to be aware of your opportunity. Requests should be made as far in advance as possible but with a minimum of three weeks notice.
Once your request form is submitted, it will be reviewed and responded by Department of Athletics, not the CSL. Please expect a two-week window of turnaround. If you do not receive a response after two weeks, you may contact Tracy Keller at tracy.keller@mail.wvu.edu or call 304-293-6050 to check on the status. If your project is selected for partnership with a team, there will be some additional compliance procedures that will be shared with you.
