The graduate assistant for digital media will work within the athletic communications department, under the supervision of the digital media manager, and will be responsible for assisting with the creative development of all social media, digital and video materials.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with video requests, including shooting, editing, organizing and posting to social media
- Work within tight deadlines to deliver in-the-moment visuals that will engage a social-first audience
- Create unique content with animation/motion graphics software such as those available in Adobe Creative Suite
- Aid in the maintenance, personality and growth of West Virginia Athletics social accounts
- Develop long-term, forward-thinking social schedule and idea calendar
- Bring an emphasis on originality of thought and content
- Compile, analyze and distribute social media analytics on a weekly basis
- Keep tabs on industry trends and emerging platforms
Requirements
- Familiarity with key social platforms
- Skill set: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro
- Capable of being resourceful and working with multiple departments throughout the creative process
- Proficient with time management
- Extremely detail orientated
Additional Salary Information
- Two-year position (2018-20)
- $16,700 stipend per year
