West Virginia University is home to one of the most storied athletics programs in the nation. The Mountaineers boast 22 national champions in men's and women's sports, almost 100 team conference titles and more than 200 first-team All-Americans.
The success of WVU’s teams contribute to a sense of pride in the community and across the state. The very mention of the word "Mountaineers" evokes a sense of history, tradition and championships. Nationwide, WVU is synonymous with winning.

We are committed to abiding by all rules and regulations of these bodies. The NCAA governs the actions of our coaches and student-athletes, and has explicit guidelines that regulate the actions of our program.
