Sports Nutrition
The WVU Athletics Sports Nutrition Department’s goal is to ensure the nutritional health, safety, performance and proper fueling for our student-athletes by providing evidenced-based nutrition education and recommendations throughout the year. We are able to meet the nutritional needs of our student-athletes through the collaborative effort of our sports performance staff, including athletic training, strength and conditioning, sports medicine and foodservice teams. Teaching and providing all student-athletes with the knowledge and resources to eat the right foods and fluids, in the right amounts, at the right time to achieve optimal health and performance will always remain of utmost importance to us.
