MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's tennis team opened the spring season with a pair of dominant victories on Friday, posting two 7-0 sweeps over Morgan State and Youngstown State in a season-opening doubleheader at the Summit Tennis Academy.
The Mountaineers went a perfect 14-0 in matches on the day, earning the doubles point in both contests before completing singles sweeps to begin the season undefeated.

WVU 7, Morgan State 0
West Virginia claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Julie Bousseau and Zuzana Kudlackova earned a 6-2 victory, while Laura Villanueva Morillo and Lucia Tognoni posted a decisive 6-0 win. The match on court two was left unfinished.
