FARMINGTON, Pa. – The West Virginia University golf team is in first place after one day of competition at the second annual Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock Golf Course in Farmington, Pennsylvania.

West Virginia completed all 36 holes of golf and sits at -21, four shots ahead of James Madison. The Dukes were one of four teams that did not finish round two due to darkness and will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to finish the round. Round three is slated to begin with tee times at 8 a.m.

Defending individual champion Kaleb Wilson leads the way for WVU at -8 (68-68), followed by Ryan Leach in second place at -6 (64-74). Nick Turowski is tied for fourth place at -5 (73-66). Westy McCabe (74-71, +1) and Jack Michael (75-71, +2) rounded out the team scoring for West Virginia. The Mountaineers recorded rounds of 279-276.

Competing as individuals, Gabe Schmitz is in 14^th place at -3 (73-68), while Aidan Dortch (73-72) and Brody Burgess (73-72) are +1. Harrison Thompson recorded rounds of 73-74 (+3), while Carson Kammann shot rounds of 83-78 for WVU.
