MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Max Green shot 1-under-par to lead the West Virginia University golf team in the first round of the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia.
 
Green is tied for 14^th place after 18 holes. Kaleb Wilson, Todd Duncan and Westy McCabe all shot 74 (+2) on Friday and are tied for 40^th place. Carson Kammann shot a 76 for the Mountaineers.
 
As a team, the Mountaineers are tied for eighth place at +5 in the 14-team field.
 
The second round will begin Saturday morning with the third and final round scheduled for Sunday.
