MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's tennis team hosts Utah and BYU in Morgantown this weekend.
WVU will face Utah at 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 20, and BYU at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22.
West Virginia (6-11, 0-6 Big 12) is coming off a tough trip to Arizona where it lost to Arizona State and Arizona to remain winless in the Big 12 Conference.
In singles play, three Mountaineers have recorded at least five wins. Senior
Mille Haagensen and graduate student
Julie Bousseau lead the charge at six wins apiece. Redshirt junior
Maja Dodik is 5-8 overall.
The doubles team comprised of senior
Michaela Kucharova and freshman
Laura Villanueva Morillo leads WVU at 5-1 in doubles play this season.
The pairing of Haagensen and freshman
Lyla Byers has also played well as they have five wins this year.
The Mountaineers faced BYU for the first time in program history in 2024 as it lost, 4-0. WVU has never faced Utah.
