MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Graduate student
Madison Trippett of the West Virginia University cross country team earned a first-place finish in the women's 5k on Saturday morning at the RMU Colonial Invitational in Clinton, Pennsylvania.
In her first race as a Mountaineer, Trippett claimed the victory with a personal best time of 16:50.05.

Kase Torchia competed in her first collegiate 5k, running for a time of 19:55.00.
West Virginia will return to competition on October 5, for the Live in Lou Classic hosted by Louisville. The race will be held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky, the meets start time is to be announced.
