Box Score MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team lost to No. 20 Oklahoma, 6-1, on Sunday at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
West Virginia (11-5, 0-4 Big 12) was unable to win a doubles match as Oklahoma took the point to lead, 1-0.
In singles play, West Virginia continued to battle, but Oklahoma ultimately locked up the win. Junior
Tatiana Lipatova won the only match for WVU as she won the No. 6 seed singles match, 6-4, 6-4.
In the No. 1 seed singles match, graduate student
Love-Star Alexis fell to Oklahoma's No. 33 Julia Garcia Ruiz, 6-3, 6-1.
In her first singles match since she faced TCU on March 1, freshman
Maya Bordereau lost to OU's No. 42 Dana Guzman, 6-3, 6-1.
The Sooners secured the win after senior
Momoko Nagato lost in the No. 3 seed match, 7-6, 6-1.
