
Mountaineers Set for Big 12 Play in Oklahoma

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (11-6, 1-3 Big 12) continues its Big 12 road swing, as the Mountaineers travel to Oklahoma for a pair of ranked matches against No. 23 Oklahoma and No. 17 Oklahoma State.
WVU will open this weekend's play on Friday, March 31, against the Sooners in Norman. First serve from the Headington Family Tennis Center is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
The Mountaineers wrap up their weekend with a matchup against Oklahoma State on Sunday, April 2. Competition from the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET.

Oklahoma (13-8, 3-1 Big 12) enters Friday's matchup with the all-time advantage over the Mountaineers, 10-0, since the series began in 2013. During last year's competition, WVU dropped the match, 0-7. OU enters the weekend after suffering a 1-4 loss to No. 39 San Diego on March 25.
The Mountaineers and the Cowgirls (11-4, 4-0 Big 12) are set to meet for the ninth time on Sunday. WVU is also seeking its first-ever win against Oklahoma State. In its last meeting, OSU topped West Virginia, 7-0, in Morgantown, during the 2022 campaign.
The Mountaineers enter the weekend after falling to No. 59 Baylor, 1-6, on March 24, before suffering a 0-7 loss to Texas on March 26.
