
WVU Welcomes NKU, Penn State to Morgantown This Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) is back in Morgantown for the first time this spring, as the Mountaineers play host to Northern Kentucky on Friday, Feb. 3, and to Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Summit Tennis Academy located at 211 Everhart Drive, Morgantown.
First serve on Friday against NKU is set for 12 p.m. ET. Competition against the Nittany Lions on Sunday will begin at 12 p.m. Live stats and a livestream for both matches can be found on WVUsports.com.
During Sunday's match against Penn State, fans are encouraged to wear blue. There will be free pizza and gear giveaways for the first 10 attendees.
First up against NKU, this week's matchup marks the first in program history. The Norse enter Friday's match with a 2-1 record, coming off a 7-0 win against Thomas More.
West Virginia and Penn State are set to meet for the second time since 2017. During last year's competition the Mountaineers fell 5-2. PSU (2-3) comes to Morgantown after facing Marshall in Huntington, W.Va. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
WVU is coming off a 4-3 win against Indiana on Saturday, Jan. 28 in Bloomington, Indiana.
