MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University cross country team was led by redshirt senior Jeanne Reix Charat on Friday morning, at the Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College, Pennsylvania.
"I was happy to see Jeanne stick her nose in this race," coach Sean Cleary said. "I feel, with a little more experience, she will be able to finish off the final six minutes and be in position to really contribute to the program."
Reix Charat led the four Mountaineers that completed the 6k with a 15th-place finish and a time of 21:36.
WVU was one of nine schools racing Friday in the women's 6k at the Spiked Shoe Invitational, with a total of 102 runners.
The Mountaineers continue their campaign at the Lock Haven University Invitational in Lock Haven, Pa on Saturday, Sept. 24. The meet begins at 11 a.m. ET.
