MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team (21-6, 13-5 Big 12) stayed put at No. 17 in the latest Associated Press Top-25 Poll and No. 20 in the latest UA Today Coaches Poll, announced Monday.
 
In the AP, the Mountaineers received 260 points to rank 17th in the poll this week. WVU is behind No. 16 Michigan (14-5) and in front of No. 18 Kentucky (17-8). Baylor (25-2, 17-1 Big 12) is the other Big 12 team featured in this week's poll and moves up to No. 5 this week, with 623 points.
 
West Virginia has now ranked in the AP Top 25 for the last eight weeks, its longest stretch since the 2017-18 season, when the team ranked in the poll for 13 consecutive weeks.
 
In the Coaches Poll, WVU received 205 points to rank 20th in this week's poll. The Mountaineers rank behind No. 19 Kentucky (17-8) and in front of No. 21 Florida Gulf Coast (26-2).
 
Baylor (25-2, 17-1 Big 12) also is featured the latest Coaches Poll and received 654 points to remain No. 6 in today's rankings.
 
West Virginia awaits its NCAA Tournament fate, as the 2021 tournament bracket will be unveiled on Monday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET. WVU's seeding, matchup and tip time will be announced following tonight's show. This year's NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will be held in San Antonio, Texas, and its surrounding areas. West Virginia currently ranks No. 24 in the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) Rankings.
