Celebration of Life Service Planned For Donnie Young

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A public memorial service is being planned for long-time West Virginia University football coach and administrator Donnie Young, according to Young's family.
A Celebration of Coach Donnie Young's Life will take place at the Erickson Alumni Center on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.
Former West Virginia University men's basketball player and local minister Junius Lewis will oversee the service, with Mountaineer football coach Don Nehlen and assistant coach Steve Dunlap making remarks.
Young died April 7, 2020 following years of declining health.
The Celebration of Life Service is open to the general public, but the family is asking those wishing to attend to RSVP as soon as possible by emailing chy234@aol.com so they can determine the size of the room to reserve.
