On her second day of competition, Bullock registered a 44th-place finish in the 100 butterfly. The Zeeland, Michigan, native touched the wall in 53.53, finishing fifth in her heat. Bullock moved up six spots from her seed time entering the event.
Harris, who made her NCAA Championships debut on Friday, finished in 45th place in the 100 breaststroke, up four spots from her seed positioning. She earned a personal-best time of 1:01.62 as she claimed fifth place in her heat. The performance is the second-fastest in program history, behind only Jenelle Zee's 1:01.28 from 2015.
"We had a very solid morning," WVU coach Vic Riggs said. "Morgan had a good 100 fly with a 53.53. Emma had a long wait for her swim, but she did a great job with a personal-best time of 1:01.62 in the 100 breast. Both moved up in their placing and are swimming well, which is a good indicator for tomorrow's 200s."
Bullock and Harris conclude action at the NCAA Championships on Saturday. Bullock is set to swim in the 200 butterfly, where she enters as the WVU school-record holder (1:54.13) and ranked No. 13 nationally, while Harris competes in the 200 breaststroke. Harris, who holds the school record in the event at 2:10.14, is ranked No. 37 going into preliminaries.
ESPN3 will provide a live stream of Saturday's finals, while OhioStateBuckeyes.com is set to broadcast Saturday's preliminary session. The action begins at 10 a.m. ET, with the finals session set for 6 p.m.
