MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After falling to No. 8 seed Texas Tech in the morning round, the West Virginia golf team bounced back to tie No. 4 seed Kansas on Saturday afternoon at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, held at the Club at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
"We had some hard-fought matches again today.," coach Sean Covich said. "We were very close this morning to flipping a few matches our way, but ultimately Texas Tech won. Then it was a quick turnaround for our guys and they bounced back winning three matches versus Kansas in the afternoon. I'm very proud of the way the guys have battled each and every session. Another two matches await us tomorrow on the final day."
