The ticket package includes a scarf and 10 tickets to be used at any men’s or women’s soccer match during the 2016 regular season. Packages are just $30 and are available while supplies last. “It was great to see so many fans share their picks for the 2016 WVU soccer scarf, and I’m thrilled to again offer this special season-ticket package to our loyal supporters,” WVU women’s soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown said. “We have an exciting, challenging home schedule ahead of us this fall, and I can’t wait to see Mountaineer Nation cheering us on in the stands at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.”
The winning scarf design, shown above, says “West Virginia Soccer” on one side and “Almost Heaven” on the other. The soccer teams’ Flying WV shield also is on both sides of the scarf.
“We have fantastic support from Mountaineer fans, so I’m glad they had a chance to help choose this year’s scarf design,” WVU men’s soccer coach Marlon LeBlanc said. “I know our fans enjoyed the scarf season ticket package last year, and I’m excited to see it return. The support from Mountaineer Nation helps make Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium one of the toughest venues in the country to play at. It’s a big advantage, and our team looks forward to that continuing this season with a tough home schedule.”
The WVU men host nine regular-season matches at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, including a showdown vs. Maryland on Oct. 10, a team that made the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2015. The women play at home 10 times, highlighted by the home opener vs. Clemson on Aug. 26, as well as contests vs. Ohio State and Texas Tech.
Scarves and ticket packages will be delivered in mid-August.
