MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s combined varsity athletic teams have a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score of 83 percent, according to data released today by the NCAA.
WVU’s average GSR score of 83 percent is its second-highest score since the NCAA began collecting GSR data with the entering freshmen class of 1995. WVU’s averaged score of 83 percent is up one percent from last year’s score. The most recent Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering freshmen classes in Division I from 2006 through 2009.
The Graduation Success Rate was developed by the NCAA as part of its academic reform initiative to more accurately measure the academic success of Division I student-athletes.
