MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team travels to No. 11 Oklahoma State for its final Big 12 road series of the season from May 8-10 at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

Friday’s opener will begin at 8 p.m., Saturday’s game is set for 4 p.m. and Sunday’s finale will be at 2 p.m. All times are Eastern.

The entire series can be heard on the affiliates of the Mountaineer Sports Network from IMG with Jeff Culhane and Ernie Galusky on the call.

The Mountaineers (24-23 overall, 6-12 Big 12) have fallen in 11 of their last 14 games, including six in a row following a 13-3 loss at Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. West Virginia is also looking to pick up its second Big 12 series victory of the season.

Freshman second baseman Kyle Davis leads the WVU offense, batting .351 with 16 doubles, four home runs and 28 RBIs, while senior shortstop Taylor Munden has a team-leading 11 home runs to go along with 10 doubles and 28 RBIs. Sophomore first baseman Jackson Cramer and sophomore right fielder Shaun Wood have eight home runs apiece, with Wood holding the team lead in RBIs with 32.

As a team, WVU is batting .268 with 90 doubles, five triples, 49 home runs and 232 runs driven in. The pitching staff has a 3.98 ERA in 420.2 innings with 343 strikeouts.

Coach Randy Mazey will use a pitching rotation of freshman right-hander Conner Dotson (0-4, 3.88 ERA) on Friday, junior left-hander Ross Vance (6-4, 3.12 ERA) on Saturday and sophomore right-hander Chad Donato (6-5, 2.87 ERA) on Sunday.

Oklahoma State (31-15 overall, 14-7 Big 12) coach Josh Holliday will counter with senior right-hander Jon Perrin (5-4, 4.16 ERA) on Friday and senior left-hander Michael Freeman (8-2, 1.16 ERA) on Saturday. Sunday’s starter has not been announced.

Oklahoma State is hitting .285 as a team with 79 doubles, 14 triples, 36 home runs and 277 RBIs. Junior outfielder Corey Hassel is batting .322 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 23 RBIs, and sophomore outfielder Ryan Sluder is hitting .311 with 11 doubles, six home runs and 20 RBIs.

West Virginia is 2-8 all-time against Oklahoma State, getting swept last season in Morgantown.
