Offensive guard Mark Glowinski went in the fourth round (No. 134 overall) to the Seattle Seahawks.
Defensive end Shaquille Riddick went 24 picks later in the fifth round to the Arizona Cardinals, while wide receiver Mario Alford was a seventh round selection (No. 238 overall) of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Glowinski was one of the top offensive linemen in the Big 12 Conference during his two-year Mountaineer career after transferring from Lackawanna Junior College. The Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, resident earned Associated Press All-Big 12 First Team honors and was a second team choice by the coaches.
He started all 13 games for the Mountaineers and was in on nearly every play in 2014 after seeing action on more than 90 percent of the snaps as a junior.
Riddick was the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year after transferring from Gardner-Webb for his senior season at WVU. Riddick tied for sixth in the Big 12 in sacks with seven and he was 20th in the conference in tackles for losses with 11. His best game came against TCU when he produced a season high seven tackles, including one for a loss.
The Akron, Ohio, resident earned FCS All-America honors and was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented annually to the top defensive player at the FCS level, in 2014.
Alford, from Greenville, Georgia, earned Football Writers Association All-America honors as a kick returner after ranking second in the Big 12 and eighth nationally with an average of 28.6 yards per return.
Alford was also the team’s second leading receiver with 65 catches for 945 yards and a team-best 11 touchdowns. His best game at WVU came during his junior season in 2013 when he caught eight passes for a career-high 215 yards in a home loss to Iowa State.
Alford caught 92 passes for 1,497 yards and 13 touchdowns in 25 career games for the Mountaineers.
On Thursday night, wide receiver Kevin White was the No. 7 overall player taken in the first round by the Chicago Bears, giving West Virginia four players selected in the NFL draft for first time since 2011 when four players were also taken that year.
West Virginia has had at least two players picked in the draft for five straight years dating back to 2011, and 16 overall during that span of time. Twelve of those players were drafted under Coach Dana Holgorsen’s watch.
