Track Set for Jesse Owens Classic

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team travels to Columbus, Ohio, for the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic from May 1-2 hosted by Ohio State University.
The meet will serve as the final event for the Mountaineers prior to the Big 12 Outdoor Championships which will be held from May 15-17 in Ames, Iowa.
West Virginia competed at the Penn Relays last weekend in its most recent competition. The action was highlighted by a first-place finish from the Mountaineer distance medley relay team.
Friday’s action will begin at 4 p.m. and is scheduled to conclude at 10:15 p.m., while Saturday’s competition will kick off at 10 a.m. and finish around 5 p.m.
This marks the first year the Mountaineers have competed at the Jesse Owens Track Classic since the 2011 outdoor season.
