Flores Attends Camp with Mexican U20 Team

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Incoming West Virginia University women’s soccer defender Vanessa Flores is in camp with the Mexican Women’s National U20 Team this week, at the High Performance Center of the Mexican Football Federation, in Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR), San Simonito, Mexico.
The camp, which concludes on April 2, is the first of many the team will hold in preparation for the World Cup Papua New Guinea 2015.
Flores, a native of Baytown, Texas, was a member of the Mexican Women’s National U17 Team and captained the 2013 national team at the 4 Nations Tournament Costa Rica. She also saw playing time at the 2014 U17 World Cup Costa Rica and was the only member of the squad named to the CONCACAF All-Star Team following the 2013 CONCACAF U17 Championship Jamaica. She has previously attended multiple U20 camps.
A six-year member of the Albion Hurricanes FC and a multi-year team captain, Flores captured the 2011 and 2012 state championships with the Hurricanes.
