Paladino Selected to Compete at NCAA Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University cross country sophomore Millie Paladino was selected to compete at her second consecutive NCAA Cross Country Championship The 6k national championship meet takes place on Saturday, Nov. 21 at noon, in Louisville, Kentucky at EP Tom Sawyer State Park.
The NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the list of selected teams and individuals who are eligible to compete at the 2015 NCAA Championship.
In addition to the automatic top-two team finishers and the top-four individual qualifiers from yesterday's NCAA Regionals, an additional 38 individuals were selected to participate through an at-large selection process. All selected individuals finished in the top 25 in their regions.
At the Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, Paladino finished 11th overall in 21:16.2. She is one of four individuals from the Mid-Atlantic region to be selected to compete at the 2015 national championship. Paladino also was awarded All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors for finishing in the top 25.
Paladino competed at the 2014 NCAA Championship for the first time as a freshman, where WVU placed eighth. Paladino finished 210th overall, crossing the finish line in 22:01.3.
