MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s swimming and diving team concludes its home slate with a dual meet against Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the WVU Natatorium, at 4 p.m.
The meet will serve as the final dual meet of the season for the women. It is the final scheduled competition before the Big 12 Championships from Feb. 25-Feb. 28.
“The women are at home this weekend and have another strong opponent with Ohio coming to town,” said coach Vic Riggs. “This is a great tune up for the Big 12 Championships, as we have lost the last two meets by less than 15 points.
“This is indicative of what the Big 12s will be like, so competing under pressure will be good for them.”
The Mountaineer women competed at Iowa State in their most recent outing on Jan. 24, narrowly falling to the Cyclones, 157-143, in dual-meet action. The meet was highlighted by a sweep from Haily VandePoel on the 1- and 3-meter boards.
The action will get underway at 4 p.m., Saturday. Admission is free to the public and a live results link will be provided at WVUsports.com.
