MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return home to host TCU on Friday, Jan. 16, at the WVU Natatorium at 6 p.m.
“It's always nice to compete at home,” said coach Vic Riggs. “TCU has a strong team and with it being Senior Night it should make for an exciting meet.”
The home meet, which is the last of the season that features the men’s and women’s squads, has been designated as Senior Night for 13 Mountaineers.
“Each senior class is different and contribute to their teams in different ways. This class is one of our largest classes we have graduated, and their contributions to this program will be felt for years to come,” Riggs said. “To see these young men and women grow as individuals, athletes and students has been amazing to watch. They came in as separate individuals from all walks of life and parts of the world and leave Mountaineers. It has been an honor to coach them, and I look forward to following them as they move forward in their lives.”
The men’s team has split its first two meetings with TCU since joining the Big 12 Conference in 2012, coming away with a 167-133 dual-meet victory a year ago.
The women will be searching for their first dual-meet victory over the Horned Frogs since the entrance into the Big 12.
A free live webcast of the event will be provided at WVUsports.com/video.
