New AD Lyons Formally Introduced

Shane Lyons was formally introduced as West Virginia University's 12th Director of Athletics on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the WVU Coliseum. Lyons, a Parkersburg native, comes to WVU from Alabama where he was serving as Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Operating Officer. Lyons succeeds outgoing Director of Athletics Oliver Luck, who accepted the No. 2 post at the NCAA last month. Lyons is expected to begin his WVU tenure in early February after wrapping up his current duties at Alabama.
