Luck to Participate on Expert Panel

West Virginia University Director of Athletics Oliver Luck has agreed to participate in a Knight Commission forum on health and safety initiatives in collegiate sports on Monday, Sept. 8 in Washington, D.C.
Luck will be joining a panel of experts that includes William E. “Brit” Kirwan, chancellor, University System of Maryland, R. Gerald Turner, president, Southern Methodist University, Brian Hainline, chief medical officer for the NCAA, Alan Ashley, chief of sports performance for USOC, and others.
The Knight Commission forum will continue its public examination of important policy issues involving college sports. Knight Commission members and panelists will also discuss ideas and principles that could help guide future changes in college sports and the treatment of athletes.
The presentation will take place in the Fahrenheit Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown and is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
