MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Senior outfielder Jacob Rice has been named the Big 12 Co-Player of the Week for his performances last week against Ohio State and Oklahoma.
Rice batted .533 (8-for-15) with four runs, two doubles, four RBIs and two stolen bases in the four games last week, leading WVU to a 3-1 record. Rice had three multi-hit games, including a three-hit performance on Saturday against Oklahoma with one run and one RBI.
TCU’s Garrett Crain also earned co-player of the week honors.
Rice and the Mountaineers (19-16, 4-7 Big 12) return to action tomorrow, at 6 p.m., at Hawley Field against Maryland.
