Baxendale Signs with the Mountaineers

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Throughout the next few weeks, we will be announcing the West Virginia University signing class with one signee per day.
Blake Baxendale, C, 6-3, 215, Rogers, Ark./Crowder College (Mo.)
- Will be attending Crowder College (Mo.) for the 2015 season
- Spent two seasons at Arkansas (2013-14), appearing in 34 games with 26 starts in 2014
- Batted .290 with seven doubles, one home run and 21 RBIs
- Posted a career high five RBI with a grand slam home run and a double at No. 8 LSU on April 13
- Missed the final 15 games of the season due to injury
- Previous attended Rogers Heritage High, where he was ranked as the 233rd best prospect nationally and the fourth-best prospect in Arkansas by Perfect Game
- Named the 2012 Baseball Player of the Year and was selected to the All-Arkansas team by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- Brother, D.J., is a right-handed pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization
