WVU WBB Remains No. 21 in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s basketball team stayed at No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll released on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers (10-2) closed out non-conference play with a dominating 101-46 win over Saint Francis on Monday evening. WVU now owns a 16-game home court winning streak, which is fifth nationally.
West Virginia earned 136 votes in the poll, just 44 behind No. 20 Iowa. There are three other Big 12 programs in the Top 25: Texas (3), Baylor (5) and Oklahoma State (14). WVU garnered 25 votes in the Associated Press poll released on Monday, ranking third in the received votes category.
On Sunday, Jan. 4, West Virginia opens Big 12 play at Oklahoma. The contest, which tips at 4:30 p.m. ET, will air nationally on Fox Sports 1.
