MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Three West Virginia University football players were named to the ECAC Division I Football All-Star Team, announced today.
Senior wide receiver Kevin White and senior guard Mark Glowinski were named to the offensive team while junior safety Karl Joseph was listed on the 16-player ECAC defensive squad.
White led the Mountaineers with 102 catches for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns, ranking fourth in the country in receiving yards, fifth in receiving yards and receptions per game.
Glowinski was a critical piece in West Virginia’s offense that ranked ninth nationally in passing, 11th in total offense and 37th in scoring. Glowinski was a first team AP All-Big 12 choice and a second team selection by the coaches.
Joseph made 104 tackles, seven tackles for losses and picked off two passes for West Virginia’s vastly improved defense in 2014. Joseph was a key component of a Mountaineer defense that did not allow a second half touchdown pass and limited teams to just 4.6 points during the fourth quarter this season.
Joseph earned first team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches and ESPN.com, and was a second team all-league pick by AP.
West Virginia will face Texas A&M in the 2014 AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee on Monday December 29 in a 2 p.m. (ET) game that will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The Mountaineers wrapped up work in Morgantown last Friday with final preparations resuming on site in Memphis beginning on Christmas Day.
