Women's Soccer Maintains No. 6 RPI

The Mountaineers (14-2-2, 7-0-1) moved into the No. 6 spot one week ago. WVU is the highest-ranked Big 12 Conference team, with Texas Tech following at No. 10. Though the top-five teams are the same for the second straight week, their positons have changed. Defending NCAA Champion UCLA (17-0-2) is No. 1, and Stanford (16-1-2) is No. 2. Texas A&M (15-2-2) ranks No. 3, while Penn State (17-2) is No. 4 and North Carolina (12-2-2) is No. 5.
As a conference, the Big 12 is up one spot to No. 2, trailing only the Pac-12 Conference.
WVU continues to rank No. 8 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Division I Women’s Top 25 Poll for the third straight week. UCLA ranks No. 1, with Florida State (16-1-1) and Virginia (17-1) following at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Additionally, WVU sits at No. 11 for the second straight week in today’s BennettRank Rankings.
The Mountaineers, the Big 12 Conference regular-season champions, open the defense of their Big 12 Soccer Championship title this Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Swope Soccer Village. WVU, the No. 1 seed, kicks against No. 8 seed TCU at 12:30 p.m. ET.
