Women's Hoops Ranked No. 17 in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women’s basketball was tabbed No. 17 in the USA TODAY Sports Preseason Top 25 Women’s Basketball Coaches Poll on Monday.

Last Thursday, the Mountaineers were picked 17^th in the Associated Press poll. WVU is ranked in both preseason polls for the third time in program history and the second-highest preseason rating in both polls. West Virginia was preseason No. 11 during the 2011-12 season.

The Mountaineers open the 2014-15 campaign against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 15, in the first round of the Preseason WNIT at the WVU Coliseum.
