Rifle On Top Again

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University rifle team ranks No. 1 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll for the eighth straight week.
Today's rankings are based on the last score shot by each team.
The top eight teams remain the same in this week’s poll and include West Virginia, Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Air Force, Nebraska, TCU, Alaska-Fairbanks and Murray State, respectively.
No. 9 Ohio State moves up two from last week’s poll after defeating TCU, 4672-4654, on Nov. 16, while Army climbs two spots to No. 10.
The Mountaineers (6-0, 4-0 GARC) most recently defeated two GARC foes at the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center, in West Point, New York. On Nov. 15, WVU defeated No. 18 Ole Miss, 4699-4568. The team continued its weekend success with a 4717-4644 win against Army on Nov. 16.
The Mountaineers will host two conference matches this weekend at the WVU Rifle Range. The Mountaineers take on No. 11 Navy on Saturday, Nov. 22, and No. 13 NC State on Sunday, Nov. 23.
