Mountaineers Remain No. 17 in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia’s women’s basketball remained at No. 17 in the Associated Press’ Top 25 poll released on Monday.
The Mountaineers (1-0) opened the 2014-15 season with a 67-42 win over Eastern Kentucky in the first round of the Preseason WNIT last Saturday. WVU garnered 331 votes, just 24 behind No. 16 Nebraska.
There are three other Big 12 teams in the top 25 including: No. 8 Baylor, No. 10 Texas and No. 21 Oklahoma State.
WVU continues action on Monday in a 7 p.m. contest against Seton Hall. The winner of this evening’s contest will face Mississippi State in the WNIT semifinals at a campus site to be determined.
