Men’s Golf, MAC Establish The Gallery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– West Virginia University men’s golf coach Sean Covich, in conjunction with the Mountaineer Athletic Club, recently announced the establishment of The Gallery, a fundraising campaign for the Mountaineer golf team.
After a 30-year absence, the WVU men’s golf program has returned to campus and will resume competition in the fall of 2015. With its return comes a number of costs and a need for resources associated with competing in one of the nation’s premier conferences. The Mountaineers will look to practice and compete at a number of top courses in the area and will travel around the country competing in some of the best tournaments hosted by NCAA institutions. Covich will also travel both nationally and internationally to recruit top student-athletes to WVU.
"We are excited to create an avenue for our fans and supporters to connect with the reestablished men's golf program,” said Covich. “Their support will allow us to build a strong foundation for the Mountaineer golf program."
The campaign allows supporters to make yearly contributions to the program at various monetary levels ranging from $100 to $10,000, with benefits that include golf accessories and travel experiences.
