MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team will play its final non-conference match of the season at Penn on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Kick off from Rhodes Field is set for 7 p.m.

“We need to finish our non-conference season strong and it will be a tough task to play Penn on its home field,” coach Marlon LeBlanc said. “Hopefully we can continue the success we have had as of late and get on a little bit of a roll.”
West Virginia finished last week with a pair of 2-1 comeback wins at No. 12 Penn State and at home against Bowling Green. Senior Andy Bevin finished the week with two goals and one assist, while sophomore Jack Elliott and freshman Jad Arslan netted one goal apiece.

Bevin leads the team in goals (9), assists (7) and points (25). Junior Jamie Merriam, who is ranked second on the team with seven goals, will return to the lineup for WVU after serving a two-game suspension.
Arslan and junior Ryan Cain each have four goals and freshmen Joey Piatczyc and Louis Thomas have five assists apiece.
Penn is 6-6-1 this season, most recently playing to a 1-1 draw at Yale on Saturday. Coach Rudy Fuller is in his 17th season at the helm of the Quakers.
Senior Duke Lacroix and sophomore Alec Neumann are tied for the Penn team lead in goals (6) and points (17). Additionally, Lacroix and Neumann have five assists apiece. Junior Forrest Clancy has three goals and six assists for 12 points.
Junior goalkeeper Max Polkinhorne has started all 13 games, posting a 1.84 goals-against average with 65 saves. Polkinhorne has allowed 24 goals and has three shutouts.
This will be the first meeting between the two programs.
